72 Hours To Report Gun Theft, Or Else

A bill being considered by Connecticut lawmakers would make it a crime to fail to report the loss or theft of a firearm within 72 hours and could lead to criminal investigations of gun owners. The bill—HB 5818—has passed through a Public Safety and Security Committee. Connecticut firearm owners are urged to contact their state lawmakers in the House of Representatives (phone 860-240-0400) and Senate (phone 860-240-0500) and urge them to oppose the bill.
