The Garmin PRO 550 with proven Tri-Tronics® technology is for the professional dog trainer or avid hunter in mind. This unit has a 1 mile range and gives you easy access to 21 levels of momentary and continuous stimulation. It also has a tone feature as well as vibration. It also has a remotely operated LED beacon light when training in low or dark light conditions. The 550 has a built-in BarkLimiter to keep the noise down. The PRO 550 gives you the ability to train up to 3 dogs at a time (additional collars sold separately). You can also purchase and add the Upland Beeper to the PRO 550 to create a beeper collar out of the PRO 550.
The PRO 550 transmitter still has its tube shape that top trainers are accustomed to and is easy to operate with a single hand so you can keep your eyes on your dog at all times, even while switching between stimulation levels and dogs. The stimulation level/vibrate selection dial is at the top of the transmitter. Tone, beacon lights and beeper (if purchased) are controlled using the switch, and buttons are on the face of the transmitter so they are right at your fingertips. There is a 1 mile range and comes with a 2 ½-inch fixed antenna that cannot snap off or get lost.
Both the transmitter and the dog device collar are designed to withstand all training and hunting conditions. The dog collar comes with a large and a small set of removable, stainless, insulated contact points. The dog device is water rated to 1 ATM (10 meters). The PRO 550 transmitter itself is water rated to IPX7. The transmitter and dog collar both feature a rechargeable, lithium-ion battery that is made to last. A battery life indicator on the transmitter and dog collar lets you know when to recharge the system.
The transmitter for the PRO 70 and PRO 550 has color-coded buttons to make training or hunting multiple dogs easy. A dog selection switch on the handheld can be paired with matching colored collars to help you keep track of which dogs are receiving stimulation and tone.

Our non-aviation products are warranted to be free from defects in materials or workmanship for 1 year from the date of purchase. Within this period, Garmin will, at its sole option, repair or replace any components that fail in normal use. Such repairs or replacement will be made at no charge to the customer for parts or labor, provided the customer shall be responsible for any transportation cost. This warranty does not apply to: (i) cosmetic damage, such as scratches, nicks and dents; (ii) consumable parts, such as batteries, unless product damage has occurred due to a defect in materials or workmanship; (iii) damage caused by accident, abuse, misuse, water, flood, fire, or other acts of nature or external causes; (iv) damage caused by service performed by anyone who is not an authorized service provider of Garmin; (v) damage to a product that has been modified or altered without the written permission of Garmin; or (vi) damage to a product that has been connected to power and/or data cables that are not supplied by Garmin. In addition, Garmin reserves the right to refuse warranty claims against products or services that are obtained and/or used in contravention of the laws of any country.
