The run / point mode beeper tells you when your pointer is hunting or locked on point. The on demand locate mode will keep track of flushing dogs in the heaviest cover. The quarter mile range on the beeper / locator, means you will always know the location of your dog while in pursuit of upland game. The Dogtra training collar has a one mile range.
