This collar is measured from the middle of the buckle to the last hole on the collar. 

Method #1: 
Simply measure your dog's neck at the base for the proper collar size and add 2 inches to the size of the dogs neck. There should always be enough room between your dog's neck and the collar to slip one finger between them comfortably. 

Method #2: 
You can also use your dog's current collar measurement if it fits correctly. Just unbuckle the collar, lay it out flat and measure from the adjustment hole being used to the center of the buckle, simply add 2 inches to this measurement to determine the size of collar to purchase. We have found that this is usually the most reliable measurement to use.
