Bird Dog Kennels AKC Started Retrievers

Here at Bird Dog Kennels, our retriever puppies are trained and sold as started dogs.

When they leave here, some of the skills that the started dogs have are:
a) Obedience trained
b) Force Fetch conditioned
c) Trailing and tracking cripples
d) Swimming through decoys out of boats and blinds

They will also have experience with:
a) Gunfire
b) Pheasants
c) Ducks
d) Other various birds (including chukars & quail.)

The pups are around eight months old when they leave here.

I have some fine looking young started chocoate labs that were born Dec. 8th, 2004 & will be ready to leave here in July 2005 that were taking deposits on now.

All members of our breeding stock are AKC registered, and have O.F.A. Certified hips. They also have Hunt test & FC/AFC championship bloodlines.

We have been raising and training hunting dogs since 1968. We produce sound, tractable young dogs, bred for temperament, ability, and rugged “classic” conformation. Parents are hard driving, close-working hunters, who are upland and cold water working hunters.
