On August 23, 2015, Iowa Pointing Labs, IPL Scarlet had a beautiful litter. The following are available: four black females (3 sold), three black males (All Sold) and one yellow male (sold).

The litter was sired by IPL Raider, who is a beautiful 65 pound black male that loves to hunt and has a very strong prey drive. He is a reflection of his pedigree with a solid point, a good nose and always retrieves to hand. He was easy to train and had a great attitude during training. He hunts within good foot hunting range. He has been hunting as a guide dog, and is showing great promise for the coming years as he matures. He is very affectionate and loves attention.

The dam is IPL Scarlet, who is a sweet 50 pound black female. Her abilities are indicative of her breeding. Scarlet is a phenomenal retriever. When the rest of my labs came back empty, it was time to send out Scarlet to retrieve the bird. Scarlet spent the last two years retrieving in the pheasant fields of South Dakota. While Scarlet was sent after the birds, the other dogs continue to hunt. Scarlet retrieves pheasants at extreme distances. She has had phenomenal marking ability since she was a puppy. When she was very young, she retrieved every mark without looking for them. No matter what the cover the mark was thrown in, she always went out and just bent down, picked it up, and returned with the mark. Scarlet is the easiest dog to train and manage because of her intelligence and size. She is a companion and gundog of a lifetime. If she was the standard for Labradors we wouldn’t need trainers. Scarlet is OFA Excellent, EIC & CNM clear.

A photograph of this litters five generation pedigree is included. Puppies will have their dewclaws removed, first series of shots, AKC papers, will have been wormed regularly and genetic guarantee.
