Niah meets Lexi breeding. Puppies due May 16, 2015. This combination brings together true classic, blocky Labrador looks, strong pointing, marking, retrieving, intelligence and quality family dogs. The pedigree features several GMPR's and APLA Hall of Fame dogs; 4x GMPR Trooper, Risky Raider, Duke's True Grit, Grits, Sauk River Featherstorm, Gumbo, Hershey, Snake River Otter to name a few. Niah is a 75 pound yellow APLA Certified Pointer. He is an exceptional upland and water dog. He has an excellent nose, strong staunch point, and marks and retrieves with such passion and style. He carries Super Trooper's blocky head and chest; he is a beautiful looking lab. Niah has been throwing his looks and his strong pointing and drive for retrieving into his pups. Lexi is a 68 pound dark yellow female owned by a friend of mine named Todd Vander Velde. She is a really nice looking female who gets out hunting pheasants in Iowa and South Dakota at least 40 times a season. She is super intelligent, her point is very pretty and she hunts close. Lexi is a family dog and has great manners; she doesn't bark and is an easy keeper. I remember hunting with Todd and Lexi in some medium cover grass. She quartered a big range and hunted close and then she locked up on a point, we shot a rooster down, and she marked and retrieved to hand; we went a bit further and the same thing: point, rooster down, mark, and retrieve to hand. We hunted on and again a point, and a hen and after she didn't hear a shot she put her head down and started to hunt again. I knew right then that Todd had a special gundog. Lexi is a super stylish pointing lab and is an exceptional bird dog and companion . We are super excited about this Niah and Lexi breeding. These puppies will range in color from light yellow to dark/fox red and will be EIC clear and CNM clear by parentage. Pups come with a 28 month hip and eye guarantee. The pups should be ready to go home Saturday, July 11.
