Litter of 10 English Setter pups. 5 males, 5 females. This is a repeat breeding. Dam/Sire has produced some top notch walking Grouse dogs for past 4 years. I own and hunt both parents. Intense drive and bird finding ability. Great noses, very trainable, and great temperment.
These dogs are a close to medium range depending on cover. Will hunt all day with lots of drive.
My training philosophy is to let pups grow for two seasons before implementing any hunt training. I have kept 2 pups from this pair and both pups were pointing and holding grouse at 1 year old. My recent pup at 1 year old is actively hunting the cover, pointing birds, and 75% retrieving with no training. These dogs are smart and have desire to please. I will whoa break pups at some point and they already know the rest. Easily trainable for whatever finishing point you want to achieve.
I'm not a large breeder but basically a hunter that has found a good match that produces dogs that will hunt.
Dogs will have up to date shots, registration papers, and health guarantee at time of pickup.
Dogs can be flown but prefer vehicle pickup. Smoke Rise breeding, Grouse Ridge, and loaded pedigree with past champions. Taking deposits now, pups ready end of March. $500 females, $400 males
