Ruby is an excellent field hunter. She works the field from either direction and does not stray out of range. She is very obedient and takes direction well. She loves the water and has no hesitation in retrieving under any condition. She has excellent stamina and persistence. Ruby is devoted to her family and loves to please. Ruby is presently in training to become a companion dog. She is also a very quick learner and is considered to be a large female dog for her breed. Ruby’s great grandparents include Bull Head Moose, Amazing Grace XXXIV, Lisa’s Sweet Chocolate Inka and Sunday’s Madam Chelsey; AKC registered. "Porter finished the Spring 2008 trial season with an Open 3rd, Amateur 4th, Open JAM, and an Amateur JAM. You'll be hard-pressed to find a chocolate Labrador retriever pedigree as good as Porter's. 29 dogs in the five generation pedigree have either an AFC, FC, or both. Porter's father is FC Nan-Dool Elwood Blues and his mother is Sommitt's "Little Rascal" MH.
